(Long Beach, California) – The Long Beach Expo (https://www.longbeachexpo.com/) opens its doors June 22, 2023, with the long-awaited “Ship of Gold” exhibit that has drawn thousands in years past. As the largest and oldest collectibles show on the West Coast, the Long Beach Expo will lure thousands of collectors who specialize in coins, banknotes, sports memorabilia, Funko POP!, stamps, and so much more from June 22 through June 24, 2023.

“We are so excited to welcome the ‘Ship of Gold’ back to the Long Beach Expo,” said PCGS President Stephanie Sabin. “The S.S. Central America is a Gold Rush-era ship that went down in 1857 with tons of gold coins and gold bars. Many of these national treasures have been recovered in recent decades, and we are proud that $15 million of this rare gold will be on exhibit at the Long Beach Expo. Seeing these gold coins and bars, in addition to other recovered artifacts, like a pair of gold-mining jeans, will leave attendees in a state of awe.”
