Bourse Contract Terms and Conditions

  1. The Expos agrees to lease Exhibitor booth(s), and Exhibitor agrees to pay the full booth fee(s), as set forth on the reverse side of this Contract unless the contract is canceled in accordance with Paragraph 5 of these terms and conditions. Exhibitor shall pay a minimum deposit of $300 per booth by November 9, 2022. Full payment must be received by Expos on or before December 22, 2022. In the event Expo fails to receive full payment under this Agreement by the due date Exhibitor shall be default under this Agreement, and Expo at its option, may cancel this Agreement, re-let Exhibitor’s booth space and pursue any rights provided by this Agreement and applicable law. If Expo chooses not to cancel this Agreement, Exhibitor will remain bound thereto. In either case, Exhibitor agrees to pay interest penalty of $75 on any unpaid balances not received by December 22, 2022. Exhibitors with term contracts must pay their specified bourse fee in full no later than November 9, 2022 or by the date specified on their contracts – whichever takes place first.
  2. The Expo bourse floor shall be open for business daily starting at no later than 10:00 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. (Saturday 5 p.m.), not including the dealer setup for which opening hours shall be set and announced by the Expo prior to the actual show dates. Failure to comply with these hours may result in cancellation of the bourse space and forfeiture of any and all monies collected for the bourse space rental.
  3. Exhibitor must attend the Expo and man its booth(s) during all official public entry show hours until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday or hours otherwise specified by your individual contract.
  4. Exhibitor may not rent, share or sell all or part of its booth(s) without the express written consent of the President, and in any event, Exhibitor shall indemnify and hold harmless Expo, and its officers, partners, agents and employees of the Expo from any liability whatsoever to its bourse assistants or any other person or entity renting, sharing, or purchasing any portion of its booth(s) including loss, damage or destruction of numismatic, philatelic or other collectible material (through negligence, gross negligence or otherwise) and for personal injury or property damage of any kind.
  5. Exhibitor may cancel this Contract by giving notice in writing to the President or Operations Manager at least 45 days before the commencement of the show. Thereafter, Exhibitor may cancel only with the express written consent of the President or Operations Manager. Failure to cancel in accordance with this Paragraph may result in forfeiture of all payments and liability for the remaining balance, regardless of whether Exhibitor attends the show
  6. Exhibitor shall supply Expo with a current California Resale Number. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of this Contract.
  7. Should Exhibitor agree with the Expo to hold a special feature display or special event at the show, Exhibitor must attend the show and man its bourse space, including the special display, for the entire duration of the show. No exceptions.
  8. Exhibitors, Assistants and Associates may not, without Expo’s express written consent (a) hold public auctions of coins or other collectibles within 100 miles of the Long Beach Convention Center during show dates or one week thereafter (b) hold competitive bid sales of any kind at their booths or close online or mail bid sales there; (c) show lots at their booths for any auction or other competitive bid sale to be held in any location within 14 days after show dates.
  9. The Expo reserves the right to change these terms and conditions for subsequent shows as it deems necessary.
  10. The Expo makes no guarantees as to the inclusion of the Exhibitor’s name in the bourse listing of the Expo program. An Addendum will be provided to attendees at the show in the occasion that inclusion of the Exhibitor’s name did not make the program deadline.
  11. Applicant hereby releases the Expo, Collectors Universe Inc. and their officers, partners, agents, and employees from any liability whatsoever including loss, damage or destruction of collectibles (through negligence, gross negligence or otherwise) and for personal injury or property damage of any kind, in connection with Exhibitor’s attendance at the February 2023 Long Beach Expo. The Expo strongly advises Exhibitors to maintain sufficient insurance coverage for his/her items.
  12. . Exhibitor may not erect any displays higher than 5 feet. Exhibitor may not hang a sign from his booth pipe that exceeds 2 feet.
  13. All disputes arising out of this Contract or Exhibitor’s attendance at the Expo shall be submitted to binding arbitration by the American Arbitration Association in Orange County, California with the prevailing party entitled to an award of attorney’s fees. Judgment on the award may be entered into any court of competent jurisdiction.
  14. Certain contracted and non-contracted applicants, including but not limited to grading services and mints, shall be subject to additional terms and conditions negotiated with the Expo, including but not limited to higher booth prices, from those set forth herein, and execution of this Agreement does not guarantee that booths will be awarded to those or any other applicant.
