Long Opening Day Line at June 2010 Long Beach Expo

(Long Beach, CA) — The line for the public to enter on opening day of the June 3 – 5, 2010 Long Beach Coin, Stamp & Collectibles Expo stretched about a one block through the huge Long Beach, California Convention Center.

“The opening morning crowd was even larger than this past February when the ‘Ship of Gold” sunken treasure display was the featured exhibit,” said Ronald J. Gillio, Expo General Chairman.

“The coin market seems to gaining steam, and many people came to the June show to see the exhibit of early American large cents. I heard many positive comments about it,” said Gillio.

The multi-million display, the Cardinal Type Collection of Early Copper, featured over two dozen high-grade early American copper pieces including items from an all-time finest PCGS Set Registry collection assembled by Martin Logies for the Cardinal Collection Educational Foundation in Sunnyvale, California.

Heritage Auction Galleries of Dallas, Texas (www.HA.com), the world’s largest collectibles auction house and the official auctioneer of the Long Beach Expo, held a nearly $10 million public auction of U.S. coins in conjunction with the June 2010 show.
