2019 Long Beach Expo Show Year Concludes with a Home Run

Can you believe the 2019 Long Beach Expo Coin, Currency, Stamp and Sports Collectibles show year has concluded with the September 2019 expo coming to a close? A big thank you to our show sponsors, dealer exhibitors and visitors for making the last expo of 2019 a huge success.
We’re proud to share memorable show highlights including an exciting U.S. and World Coin and Currency auction series with the world’s largest collectibles auctioneer and the Long Beach Expo’s official show auctioneer, Heritage Auctions, along with the U.S. Mint and a remarkable installment from the Tyrant Collection, the world’s most valuable private coin collection.

Live auctions from the official auctioneer of the Long Beach Expo: Heritage Auctions

  • The world's largest collectibles auctioneer, Heritage Auctions, hosted its U.S. and World Coins and Currency Signature Auctions live at the expo.

$10 Million Tyrant Collection: Tyrants of the Seine

  • The world's most valuable rare coin collection in private hands returned to the expo with its fifth exhibition installment, entitled Tyrants of the Seine. The one-of-a-kind French collection contains coinage from the Visigoths, Merovingians, Carolingians, Capetians, Bourbons, and the Napoleonic empires.

PCGS 1942 High Relief Lincoln Cent Pattern display, expert sessions & more

  • Newly-identified 1942 High Relief Lincoln Cent Pattern display: On display at the PCGS Set Registry booth were Patterns for all types of collectors, featuring the one-of-a-kind 1942 High Relief Lincoln Cent Pattern, along with other PCGS-graded coins that are a part of the Complete Patterns, Die Trials and Experimental Pieces Registry set.
  • PCGS on-site grading opportunities: The official grading service of the Long Beach Expo hosted on-site coin grading opportunities and accepted take-home submissions.
  • PCGS "Meet the Expert" sessions: Steve Feltner, PCGS Director of Numismatic Education and Outreach, and Jeff Howard, PCGS Senior Grader, offered guests a rare opportunity to meet and speak with PCGS graders.

The U.S. Mint

  • The U.S. Mint September show appearance presented a rare West Coast opportunity for expo visitors to buy Mint products firsthand.

NFL Oakland Raiders' Odis McKinney autograph session

  • Odis McKinney, a nine-year professional football player and Oakland Raiders Super Bowl XV and XVIII champ, met with fans for a meet-and-greet autograph session.
Additional show highlights included Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) show grading specials, “Meet the Expert” sports sessions with Memory Lane Inc., Collectors Corner CoinSearch, free kids treasure hunt, daily coin and sports prize drawings, and more.
