James Worthy and Lamar Odom headline the biggest collectibles show on the West Coast
(Long Beach, California — June 22, 2022) — Two retired NBA standouts from the Los Angeles Lakers will be signing autographs for fans at the fast-approaching Long Beach Expo (www.longbeachexpo.com). Southern California’s largest collectibles show will take place at the Long Beach Convention Center starting on Thursday, June 30, 2022, and the lineup of special appearances includes James Worthy (aka “Big Game James”) and Lamar Odom.
“It’s a thrill to have these two NBA scorers and playmakers on our ‘home court’ at the Long Beach Expo,” said Professional Coin Grading Service Events Manager Samantha Dark. “Both of these beloved Los Angeles-area stars are excited to meet their fans, slam dunk some autographs, and just be part of the fun atmosphere here at the Long Beach Expo.”
This exclusive signing opportunity, for which tickets are being sold separately, gives collectors the chance to not only meet two of the biggest stars from the Los Angeles Lakers, but also make their personal memorabilia items one-of-a-kind collectibles by scoring autographs from these popular players. A wide variety of collectible coins, stamps, trading cards, and sports items that boast basketball-related themes will be available at the show and are perfect for signing by the two NBA stars in attendance at the Long Beach Expo.
Odom averaged 13.3 points per game, won two NBA titles with the Lakers, and was named the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year following the 2010-11 season. Meanwhile, Worthy averaged 17.6 points per game and won three NBA crowns with the Lakers before being elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2003. Odom will be signing autographs at the show on Thursday, June 30, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 to 2:30 p.m. Worthy will be signing on Saturday, July 2, from 1:00 to 1:30 p.m. and 2:00 to 2:30 p.m.
In addition to these superstar signings, the Long Beach Expo will also have on-site grading from Professional Sports Authenticator (PSA) and Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), hundreds of dealers representing various areas of the collectibles industry, a multimillion-dollar rare coin auction, Meet-the-Expert seminars with hobby experts, and a seminar series on Friday with some of the top coin and banknote scholars around. Kids can enjoy a treasure hunt and face-painting on Saturday, and free giveaways of rare coins, valuable banknotes, and collectible memorabilia will be held every day at the expo.
Doors at the Long Beach Expo will be open 10 a.m. through 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 30, and Friday, July 1, and from 10 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 2.
